Our Founder
A rural teacher and exemplary mother who loved her family and cared about vulnerable children

Doña Guadalupe Olivares born in 1927 in La Hacienda de Palmira, municipio de Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico. She later moved to Nuevo Laredo, Tam, and became a very dedicated rural teacher during the early years of her life. Then, she was married and overtime, she had six children. She was a lovely and devoted mother who against all odds but, with much faith and with God on her side, raised and educated her family on her own.

More than three decades ago, Doña Lupita (as her friends just to call her) had a beautiful dream, she wanted to give back to the Nuevo Laredo community what she had learned over the years, she wanted to give vulnerable children a little bit of happiness during Christmas. Her dream started with a box of fried chicken that she began by giving it away to children on the streets in an underprivileged colonia in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
She worked every year until she passed away bringing food, clothes, toys, and happiness to vulnerable children in multiple communities in Nuevo Laredo Mexico. Today, her entire family gets together to follow her dream and continues to bring food, toys, and happiness to numerous vulnerable children in Laredo, TX and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
Why we created the foundation
After our mother passed away, we decided to create a charitable foundation to honor our mother, her dream and most importantly her legacy as a hardworking and lovely woman. Our family have a strong desire to continue with her dream, making a significant and positive impact in our community by helping vulnerable children, providing clothes, toys, food, free medical assistance but, more importantly, bringing happiness to children in need at least one day in the year during Christmas.

We want our foundation to tackle more aggressive and important issues for children in our communities, at a level where it can achieve significant, more measurable, and positive results. Going forward, our foundation would like to begin supporting students with scholarships, and financial help to families in the communities. We are learning and implementing processes to work with other organizations with the intention to help children as much as we can.
